Welcome to my blog where I talk about Ed Tech, Instructional Design, and other things that make me happy. Thank you for stopping by!
I have spent a good chunk of the last ten years teaching students, grades K-12, math, science, and languages. And through this experience, have come to realize that empowering students with the tools and confidence that they need to succeed is what truly brings me joy.
Since graduating from college, I have been working as a software developer. What I see from my vantage point on the inside, is the same that we are so immune to hearing on the news -- there is a lack of women and people of color in the industry, especially in leadership. And this is only getting worse.
My goal with Miss World is to bring awareness to this issue and feature the initiatives that I have seen on a larger platform. I believe that the best way to create inclusive and innovative technology is through diversity, in our engineers and creators. And the best way to achieve that is by making STEM education more accessible. I have chosen Miss World as the platform because it is an incredible organization that focuses on women who advocate for amazing causes in their communities.
I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and so excited to share this journey with you.
